Leeuwarden Air Base and her Airplanes:

  322 Sqn is the oldest operational squadron and since 1942 active and also the first unit to receive F-16’s in 1981. Together with 323 Sqn are these the most northern F16 units of the Netherlands

             The AB412SP of 303 squadron are planned to replaced by the NH90 when thy operational in 2010. The NH90  take than over the SAR role and 303 squadron will be disbanded .
